The IR Academy Junior Academy is an introductory competitive soccer program for girls and boys that runs in the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons.

OUR PROGRAM

The Junior Academy is aimed at players and families interested in experiencing high-quality soccer training in a fun and stress-free environment. Our highly experienced coaching staff creates player-centered training opportunities for young athletes to develop essential foundational soccer skills and a true passion for the sport. In our program, your players will learn about passing and shooting, improve their technical skills and make new friends. Many of our IR Academy Junior Academy graduates move into our girls and boys competitive program.

FEES AND INFORMATION

Summer 2024 Session:

  • Age: Boys & Girls born in 2018 and 2019.
  • Dates: Monday/Wednesday June 17-July 10.
  • Training: Monday's from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.
  • Matches: games will be played on Wednesday.


Costs for the IR Academy Junior Academy:

  • Registration fee: $75.
  • Training fee: $60 per month.
  • Includes one Monday practice session per week and league play on Wednesday.
  • Discounts are available for assistant coaches with players in the program.
  • Discounts are available for families with more than one child in the program.
  • Financial Aid is available for qualifying families.

Meet Nick Charney

Nick Charney is the IR Academy Juniors Academy Director and runs the Friday IR Skills Academy in the fall and spring. Nick has been a member of the IR Academy staff since 2016 and has built a player-focused curriculum for our Juniors Academy that supports the growth of young players in a fun environment. He currently holds a US Soccer National D coaching license and a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Nick attended Cosumnes River College and Azusa Pacific University.
